Classificação de Aditivos Alimentares na Austrália ou Nova Zelândia

                                       
 


A lista completa compreende aditivos alimentares classificados por seu uso como Seguro, com Cautela ou Evitado. Destes, aproximadamente 350 são aditivos alimentares autorizados na Austrália / Nova Zelândia que são países mais exigentes tratando-se de saúde do que os EUA e o Brasil.

Todos os aditivos alimentares estão listados abaixo por número de código e por nome.

Há cerca de 50 que são susceptíveis a causar reações adversas. Eles estão marcados em vermelho e em negrito com "evitar" -
AVOID (Não devem ser usados).

 Outros aditivos em vermelho podem ser usados, porém, com cautela - CAUTION (devem ser usados de forma reduzida)
 

 Outros aditivos não são susceptíveis de causar reações - Failsafe (seguro). Este inclui agentes antiaglomerantes, agentes de branqueamento, agentes emulsionantes, sais minerais, agentes propelentes, os ácidos alimentares, adoçantes, agentes espessantes, gomas vegetais e vitaminas.

Para os outros países além da Austrália e Nova Zelândia são utilizados diferentes números e nomes de corantes artificiais ao redor do mundo.

Como em produtos cosméticos e de limpeza os rótulos são em inglês não farei a tradução de todo o texto ( fiz a tradução de alguns entre parênteses).

A fim de buscarmos uma vida mais saudável livre de alergias, câncer e outras doenças, devemos sempre ler os rótulos antes de adquirirmos algum produto, buscando sempre evitar aqueles que contenham substâncias com classificação avoid (evitar) e também caution (cuidado).

Ao contrário de muito aditivos, nitrates and nitrites são necessários. Uso em carnes industrializadas, previnem o crescimento bacteriano e enveneamento alimentar, mas eles não são seguros (not failsafe).

Gallates e TBHQ, BHA e BHT são usados para conservar óleos vegetais e margarinas. Quando óleos vegetais são usados em outros produtos, estes antioxidantes não são frequentemente listados por causa de 5% se brecha no rótulo. BHA and BHT podem também lixiviar dentro de produtos com embalagem de cereais. Antioxidantes 300-309 são  alternativas seguras.

Umectantes mantém os alimentos úmidos. Esses aditivos também são usados como adoçantes. Os dois primeiros não são permitidos em alimentos para bebês e crianças pequenas. OBs: Eu os evitaria também! Glicerina é usada como umectante em marshmallows e outros doces. Todos podem causar náuseas e diarréia quando consumidos em grandes quantidades por pessaoas sensíveis.

Efeitos adversos do Glutamato Monossódico são bem documentados. Temos também recebido muitos relatórios de rashs cutâneos associados com o novo aditivo 635 que é uma combinação do 627 com 631. Extrato de levedera, proteína vegetal hidrolisada (HVP) e proteína de planta hidrolisada (HPP) são meios dos fabricantes incluirem o Glutamato Monossódico sem ter que citá-lo no rótulo.

A segurança do Aspartame em relação a tumores cerebrais e outros não foi provada. Aspartame em diet", "light" e em produtos "sem adição de açúcar" pode aumentar o apetite falhando na perda de peso. Há relatórios de vícios. Açúcar é uma alternativa natural. Adoçantes artificial são geralmente desnecessários, artificiais e não recomendados.
